Managing International Class for Pre-Service Teacher Training Programs “The Challenges and Opportunities of Education in the Global Era: Beliefs, Evidences, Issues and Trends of Managing International Class” at Yogyakarta State University, Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
The Task Force of Yogyakarta State University on The Move to World Class University was established in 2007 as a first step in the process to integrate an international dimension throughout the institution as Yogyakarta State University initiates to develop into a world class university. The administration of the University recognizes that global competency is an essential learning outcome in higher education and that our graduates must be prepared to be successful in an increasingly interconnected world and global society. Yogyakarta State University is committed to providing an international learning experience through its curriculum, student life, on-campus events, and academic programs abroad. The graduates of Yogyakarta State University are prepared to teach in schools of international level. This International Seminar and workshop have a purpose to provide and develop the academic, administration, and student aspect with an initial blueprint to move the University into world class university (WCU) with connections that reach throughout the world.
Theme of the event is “The Challenges and Opportunities of Education in a Global Era: Beliefs, Evidences, Issues and Trends of Managing International Class”.
The event would be divided into two categories namely seminar and workshop. The seminar is wide open for unlimited participants catagories while the workshop would be held for only limited participants of authority’s person at all level organizations in Yogyakarta State University.

- To share experiences on managing an international class for Pre-service Teacher Training Program
- To promote collaboration in implementing international class for Pre-service Teacher Training Program
- To establish a global network of scholars and managers of international class for Pre-service Teacher Training Program
Sub-Theme
Papers pertaining to broader issues relating to World Class University and International Class are invited. The sub-themes of the seminar are:
- Developing, implementing and managing curriculum for International Class for Pre-service Teacher Training Program.
- Developing, implementing and managing facilities and learning resources for International Class for Pre-service Teacher Training Program
- Developing students to have international competencies related to their subject and their future professional development

Papers
Parallel paper presentation
The seminar and workshop committee invites university faculty members, national and regional coordinators and administrators, teachers or students from all countries to submit proposals for inclusion in the seminar program and publication in the seminar proceedings.
Papers pertaining to broader issues relating to world class university and international class are invited. The sub-themes of the seminar are:
- Developing, implementing and managing curriculum for international class for Pre-service Teacher Training Program.
- Developing, implementing and managing facilities and learning resources for international class for Pre-service Teacher Training Program
- Developing students to have international competencies related to their subject and their future professional development
The paper should be under one of the above sub-themes.
Paper Formats for Seminar
We will strive to provide everyone with the opportunity to attend all seminar’ sessions (i.e., prevent parallel sessions), To do so, while at the same time allowing for more presentations, we includ a poster presentation option in this conference.
• Regular paper presentations
Regular paper presentations will be scheduled for 30 minutes (20 minutes presentation 10 minutes discussion). Papers should either report new empirical data or consist of a major review of the literature leading towards new research directions. All proposals should be submitted as a 200-300 word abstract, which summarises the aims, methods, findings and conclusions of the study.
English will be the official language of the conference (and of the proceedings which will be printed before the conference, and available on-line afterwards). The paper must be in the form of a Microsoft Word Document only (NOT pdf or any other formatted files) and must be sent as an email attachment (faxes, scanned copies or posted hard copies cannot be accepted).

Publication: The Plenary Lectures and selected papers will be published in the website and the Proceeding of the seminar as well as in the formal document of the university
