The annual Industrial Informatics Seminar is one of the region’s most important ICT for Industry events to promote and facilitate knowledge interchange. The intent is to bring together and encourage academic research and industrial development through exchanging ideas about the latest issues on current information technology in the field of Industrial application. The seminar aims at presenting innovative research and approaches to making ICT an efficient and productive solution for organization, factory communications and automation, data acquisition and digital signal processing, advanced monitoring, intelligent and computer control systems, robotics and vision system, human computer interaction, e-business technologies and management information systems.
Furthermore, social implications should not be ignored, on how these technologies impact on the people, and how people can use technologies to further enhance their productivity and livelihood. Thus, IIS09 invites researcher, industrial practitioners and developers from various areas of discipline to share knowledge and experience in addressing the novel issues in ICT for Industrial productivity. The conference has set up eight major tracks for this purpose. We especially welcome research papers with methodology using case study, field study, and general survey papers indicating future directions or experiment. Papers describing new methods or technologies, advanced prototypes, systems, tools and techniques and are also encouraged. Accepted papers will be published in the Special Issue of the Journal of Industrial Informatics with an ISSN.
